This month’s moodboard is a relaxed yet refined living room designed by Wayne Homes. It’s easy to see why we chose this home to showcase, its livable design and creative use of interior finishings made it one of our 2016 Builder & Designer Challenge People’s Choice Award winners.
We know you’re itching to check out the moodboard, and we can’t blame you, keep scrolling for some major inspiration.
We’re absolutely loving the inviting feel of this living room, and the design is a look you’ll want to live in all year round.
The grey palette with pops of a bright, earthy green, plus natural materials like stone and dark wood, plus high ceilings and a masterful mix of interior finishings all come together to create a welcoming living space.
But don’t take our word for it, take a look for yourself.
When we first saw this design, we immediately noticed how bright the room was, due mostly to the picturesque windows topped with French Curves architraves and sheer drapes. The windows bring the outside in, making the earth palette of greys, greens, and browns shine in this space. Get the look with Benjamin Moore’s Split Pea, Pittsfield Buff and Nimbus Gray.
The living room is filled with beautiful, functional pieces like the cozy grey sofas and moody entertainment center. Abstract paintings of nature and comfortable pieces make it feel like a home.
We love all of our moodboards, but this one holds a special place in our heart because it feels like a home filled with love and laughter. You can take a similar approach to your next design space, add your own personal style to it, and use it to create a warm, finished space. Our curated Pinterest board can help. Check it out for more palette inspiration and furniture pieces, plus a few fun extras. Happy Pinning!
