by The Finished Space

The 2018 NAHB International Builders’ Show was, once again, a smashing success! Aside from the Orlando, Florida sun, we loved soaking in all of the wonderful trimspiration, amazing ideas, and great people!

If you weren’t able to attend, we’ll give you the scoop on all the exciting happenings that filled each day, with many of our favorite moments happening in our very own booth!

We crowned our Every Room Tells A Story — 2017 Builder & Designer Challenge People’s Choice winners and Grand Prize winner the first night of the show. With delicious cupcakes topped with the Metrie logo and cocktails in-hand, attendees of the show came to gather around our booth for the announcement. Metrie’s Kent Bowie, President and CEO, and Kenton Low, Vice President of Marketing, congratulated each winner with their well-deserved award. These builders and designers created such incredible spaces using our Finishing Collections!

You can see the event and the winner’s rooms below.

Grand Prize Winner: Jenny Martin, of Jenny Martin Design!

People’s Choice Winners: Shawn, Chad and Gordon White of G.A. White Homes!

People’s Choice Winners: Shinekhuu Enkhbayar of Shine Construction & Remodeling!

And we can’t forget about our fabulous panel of judges for the Challenge,  Aly Velji, of Alykhan Velji Designs, Heather Maloney, of Definition: Design LLC, and Erin McLaughlin, of Style at Home and Canadian Living, who shared their design expertise in selecting the winners.

Option {M} Style Quiz

We had an array of iPads at our booth, which attendees were able to use to take our Option {M} Style Quiz, consisting of five questions, in order to find a style that fit their personality. Once given their results, we had an assortment of packaged coffee beans in flavors that tied into each particular style.

Celebrity contractor, Mike Holmes Jr., even popped by to take the quiz; his results were Option {M} Modern Farmhouse!

Based on all of the fun events that took place at this year’s Builders’ Show, we are so appreciative of those who took the time to stop by our booth. We adored meeting and connecting with new faces, and being able to inspire and get inspired along the way.
