Wondering if your kitchen’s just not up to snuff for the holiday dinners right around the corner? Sounds like you need some moodboard trimspiration.

This month, we fell in love with a glamorous kitchen from the brilliant boutique builder Maison Design and Build. They are one of our 2016 Builder & Designer Challenge entries, and we’re just loving their space! From a graphic palette to luxury touches, this design is a contemporary gem. Why don’t you see for yourself?

Black, white, and gold are the perfect formula for glamour. Maison Design and Build used Metrie Fashion Forward and True Craft interior finishings in this glam space.

We know what you’re thinking: “That kitchen looks too beautiful to cook in!” But hold on, and take a second look at the function behind all that style. A wall of storage, a butler’s pantry, and an oversized island with plenty of prep space means there’s just as much function as there is form.

We were so inspired by this kitchen, that we went all out on this month’s moodboard. Whether you’re looking to renovate or redecorate, this moodboard will get your mind racing and thinking about all the glamorous things you can do in your space. Are you ready for this?

We know just what you need to achieve this look. Maison Design and Build used Metrie Fashion Forward and True Craft interior finishings in this glam space.

The palette here is so simple, a bright white on the wall, and a deep black on the door and window trim. This contrast elevates the space while giving the spotlight to the details.

A marble backsplash and waterfall countertop add hints of natural color while maintaining the bright white theme. Alternatively, the wall of storage, in a deep brown, adds another dimension of color. We can’t overstate how much we adore these cabinets. The flat faces and simple pulls are thoroughly modern, while the simple trim up top adds an undeniable level of sophistication. You can be sure we took notes on that idea.

A final point on the structure of this room: we just love the tray ceiling here. It’s absolutely perfect for hiding soffits and ductwork. We have to mention their fabulous use of our Fashion Forward crown moulding! The entire space is truly a work of art.

As beautiful as the architecture of this room is, it’s clear that what really pulls it all together is the little details, specifically the pendant lights and barstools. We searched high and low for those exact pieces, just for you. Well, actually for our own homes, but oh well. Get those gorgeous pendant lights here, and find those luxurious barstools here.

As always, there’s more inspiration to find in this moodboard. We curated a unique Pinterest board to dive even deeper into this design. Go ahead and make yourself a cup of coffee, you might be up for awhile.
