Metrie Masters on: Entryways & Doorways

by The Finished Space

Everyone loves to make an entrance, but no one can create an entry quite like our Metrie Masters. From airy doors with minimalist design to grand foyers, these expert designers and builders have curated the most stylish ways to move between spaces. Take a look at these gorgeous 2017 Builder & Designer Challenge entries.

DLUX Design & Co.

We’ve already swooned over this minimalistic office by Dlux Design & Co., but really, it is the glass Fashion Forward interior door that sets the tone for the space.

Metrie's Fashion Forward doors make a statement in this office space

Airy and sophisticated, the double doors act as a dramatic entry into the office, while the dark hardware and pendant lights add a graphic punch. This space proves that well thought out entries into smaller rooms have the ability to really drive the rest of the design forward. Walking into this bright and inviting workspace is enough to make us feel motivated all day long!

Sarah Gallop Design Inc.

The massive dark wood door in Sarah Gallop Design Inc.’s upscale entryway signals to guests that this home is something special.

Very Square interior finishings are used in this rustic, yet elegant entryway

Once you walk in, you are met by an opulent staircase, and our Very Square baseboard, which continues throughout to give a serene and rustic invitation to an otherwise elegant and classic home. And just around the corner, is our architrave topping off the crisp white closet doors.

It is important not to forget to look up and take in the marvelous chandelier, surrounded by crown moulding:

Wayne Homes

First impressions are so important, even for homes. One of our favorite builders, Wayne Homes, must feel the same way because their light and airy foyer absolutely stuns. With an arched shape that floods the entry with light, it is important to make sure that the adjacent rooms are just as welcoming.

A combination of interior finishings are used to create luxe entryway

Wide cased openings leading to the dining room and den make a strong statement. Take note: combine an architrave with faux columns on both sides of the opening for an unforgettable look.

We hope you’ve learned one thing from the masters today: bold, elegant and inviting design isn’t complete without a gorgeous entry.

We’re always in awe of the creative and beautiful ways builders and designers use our products to turn rooms into stunning, finished spaces. Each month this year, we’re featuring amazing spaces from the Every Room Tells A Story — 2017 Builder & Designer Challenge because these participants truly have artfully mastered Metrie interior finishings, thus them being dubbed as ‘Metrie Masters’, and their work deserves to be celebrated.
