Week four revealed a surprise twist for all our bloggers in the form of a one-week extension. This was announced in light of so many complications from natural disasters across the United States. So everyone can breathe a sigh of relief and we can revel in the fact that we get an extra week of updates from these fabulous bloggers!
Speaking of which, let’s check in to see what kind of trim work everyone has done this week….
The construction phase of Alyssa and Steve’s family room started to finalize this week, with the drywall up and the built-ins on their way. Once that happens, we’ll get to see some major millwork happen in the form of panel mould and shiplap!
Brittany faced unexpected delays in her master bedroom this week with the discovery of some faulty electrical wiring in her 1950’s home. So, instead of installing her Pre-Painted Shiplap from Metrie, she took a brief step back to get the wiring up to code. On the plus side, we got to dive into Brittany’s other product picks.
Chloe decided to keep the large-scale lighting for her dining room and also primed the walls in advance of painting. She also debated her window hardware options, which will sit directly underneath her new crown moulding.
We were thrilled to see a mid-progress reveal at Gwen’s this week and boy, was it worth the wait! Gwen’s use of interior finishings is simply breathtaking. And we cannot wait to see her vision unfold for the bifold doors.
Not only did we get to see Brittany’s office come together with the installation of our panel mould, she even provided a step by step DIY tutorial! We loved the detailed explanation of her process, especially with some inspiration eye candy to go along with it.
With the popcorn ceilings removed in her in-laws’ living room, Kirsten is now ready for the installation of moulding. Talk about a clean slate to really make the finishings pop!
Bethany and Art’s son’s bedroom saw some major progress this week and we finally got to see some reveal pictures of our knotty pine tongue and groove on the ceiling. It gives the room such a natural feel next to the deep green color Bethany painted on the closet.
Big news from Robyn this week—her sweet new baby arrived! No adorable newborn photos yet, but we did get to see her plans to install the white board and batten on the nursery walls. That baby is sure to have sweet dreams once it’s all ready.
What has everyone else been working on this week? Let’s find out!
Refashionable Late: Ruthie shared her runner-up ideas this week to give us a behind-the-scenes look into her design process. Before settling on panel mould, she actually thought about using our board and batten!
Sugar & Cloth: Ashley Rose kept it real this week and let us follow a week in the life of a design blogger, which isn’t always as glamorous as it sounds (but we’re so glad she does it!).
The Pink Pagoda: Jennifer had her kitchen cabinets installed this week and picked out her Silestone countertops for extra resiliency.
Kelley Nan: Kelley decided to do some early stages of styling this week, and we love the airy look of her master bedroom sitting area.
Kim Power Style: Even with major renovations still underway in her bathroom, Kim installed some jaw-dropping tile flooring this week — definitely worth a look!
The Dreamhouse Project: Tash and Kes are certainly not lacking in storage with their sleek cabinet design. Check out their clever idea to display glassware and decor.
Vanessa Francis Design: Vanessa had some key pieces delivered, including cabinet pulls and a chic yet comfy sectional sofa!
Harlow & Thistle: Andrea is working away at some of her DIY projects for her office makeover, including updating a cabinet and installing a curtain rod.
