We are so excited to announce that two new colors have taken the reins this year. Feeling trimspired, we wanted to see how each of these paint shades would look on our interior finishings, and the results have us head-over-heels!

Pantone®’s Color of the Year 2018, 18-3838, also known as Ultra Violet, is ultra stunning! Sparking ingenuity, originality, and visionary thinking, it is a thoughtful blue-based purple and dramatically enticing.

Pantone®'s Color of the Year, Ultra Violet

“Complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now,” notes Pantone, the global color authority. “The color is often associated with mindfulness practices, which offer a higher ground to those seeking refuge from today’s over-stimulated world.”

Ultra Violet isn’t the only show-stopping color for 2018, Benjamin Moore’s Caliente, AF-290, is another must-have shade! Benjamin Moore describes Caliente as “strong, radiant and full of energy.”

Benjamin Moore's Color of the Year, Caliente

Caliente is the signature color of a modern architectural masterpiece; a lush carpet rolled out for a grand arrival; the assured backdrop for a book-lined library; a powerful first impression on a glossy front door. The eye can’t help but follow its bold strokes. Harness the vitality.” States Benjamin Moore.

Paint the town—or in this case, your interior finishings— red with Caliente! This shade embodies power, change, and confidence — elements that will elevate your space! To view the color palette alongside Caliente, click here.

While both of these shades are on opposite ends of the spectrum, each exudes a charismatic charm, and we are finding ourselves captivated by both. Which color are you favoriting this year? Let us know in the comments below, or on Twitter!
