Metrie Masters on: Blue Hues

by The Finished Space

We’re always in awe of the creative and beautiful ways builders and designers use our products to turn rooms into stunning, finished spaces. Each month this year, we’re featuring amazing spaces from the Every Room Tells A Story — 2017 Builder & Designer Challenge because these participants truly have artfully mastered Metrie interior finishings, thus them being dubbed as ‘Metrie Masters’, and their work deserves to be celebrated.

While you’re eager for spring, have you begun to feel the winter blues? Don’t worry! Good things can come from the blues. These builders and designers all went through a blue period and came out the other side with beautiful spaces to show for it.

Forest Hills Homes LLC

Serene bedrooms are our happy place, and this room definitely fits the bill. With minimal decor, this retreat is free from distractions so the clean design really stands out.

The canvas of the room features an enormous tray ceiling, picture windows, and a dreamy blue palette that opens up the room. Subtle interior finishings from our Fashion Forward Collection add quiet elegance — hello baseboard and casing! From there, Forest Hills Homes adds a cozy bed with crisp linens and a settee at the foot to really round out the space.

Personally, we’re crossing our fingers that this space ends up on Airbnb.

Signature Homes

From serene to bold, it’s clear blue can add character to any space. Don’t believe us? Just take a look at this galley-style kitchen with a geometric pop.

Signature Homes used Metrie's Very Square Collection and flat stock to design this galley-style kitchen.

Embracing the essence of Very Square, this space’s saturated blue paired with crisp, white flat stock applied in an updated Art Deco pattern makes the perfect accent wall. We love how this wall treatment is framing the sconces! With all the drama on one side, Signature Homes perfectly balances the space with a sleek, stainless steel kitchen.

Terrene Homes

And finally, right between bold and serene is this stately dining room. Here, the deep blue on the walls and panel moulding add the perfect touch, resulting in an updated take on a classic dining room.

Terrene Home's updated dining room design with the help of Metrie's French Curves Collection.

Terrene Homes chose to add plenty of white with our French Curves Scene I casing and architrave and natural light from the half colonial windows. Finally, antique pieces add refined character and unapologetic originality. We also featured this space as our February Moodboard for you to be able to dive deeper into this gorgeous room!

Thank you, Metrie Masters for showing us how to incorporate blue palettes with interior finishings for a gorgeous result. So, armed with this trimspiration, go ahead and lean into your own blue period this year!
