Laundry Room Love

Give your laundry room some design love! That’s what designer Sarah Walker did when she participated in the April 2015 edition of the One Room Challenge.

Part of Sarah’s task was to put the “fun” back in “functional” and create a luxe laundry room.  Here is what the space looked like before the six-week online design challenge:

Interior finishings – moulding and interior doors – played an important role in this stunning makeover.

Metrie French Curves Collection Scene II baseboard and casing were chosen for this luxurious laundry room. Sarah fell in love with the dimension and elegance of the profile. Plus, it helped create a cohesive look and feel throughout the rest of their house as the trim matched well with their existing paneling.

Raw, rift-cut White Oak doors – from the Metrie Very Square Collection – were used to add natural texture and interest, while hiding a “multitude of sins.” An ugly furnace and water heater were hidden with beautiful natural wood feature wall.

We challenge you to show your laundry room some love and finish every space!
