Hidden on New York’s Upper Saranac Lake lies a unique Thom Filicia-decorated vacation home. Filicia is known for creating modern, yet classic spaces that retain their inviting appeal, and doesn’t disappoint with the Craftman-style interior finishings in this rustic house.
In one of the bedrooms, a vintage sign sits behind modern black paneling and is contrasted with Aztec accessories throughout the space. This crisp paneling combined with the bucolic features brings a contemporary twist on an otherwise rustic bedroom.
The master bathroom is another instance where Filicia’s flair for blending traditional and modern trimwork shines through. The gray beadboad lining the walls is offset with black accented baseboards and window casing, which gives the room a country feel.
